Happy to be headed to Warren Wilson today to participate in the celebration of their 40th anniversary—happier still to be a part of this exceptional program. Warren Wilson is a special place with pebbled paths, rolling pastures, livestock lowing in the distance, and crisp mountain air whistling through dogwoods, spruces, and hemlocks. But more than that, Warren Wilson is known for being a vibrant, inspiring, and supportive community of mentors and fellow writers. MFA’s are known for the people who facilitate and participate in the programs, and there are none better than those who convene twice annually in the Swannanoa Valley.
